SEIGE #4
1 OUT 5
The same ending as Secret Invasion #8 in reverse. The Heroic Age was spoiled months ago so we knew how this issue was going to end. Various clues to the 'dramatic' ending was released last week. Steve Rogers is now top cop instead of Norman Osborn. Loki had a sudden character shift from his self last week. A very anti-climatic ending to a terrific execution throughout Dark Reign.
THE SENTRY FALLEN SUN
3 OUT OF 5
Great memorial issue that is better than Seige #4. Loved that Paul Jerkins returned to collaborate on the character he created in 2000. Much like the 2007's Captain American Fallen Son issue there seems to be clues that we may not have seen the end of the Sentry or the Void. Which this issue carried some weight however seeing how Seige #4 was poorly executed this issue seems non-essential.
THE Amazing Spider-MAN #631
3 OUT OF 5
Issue opens up with Kaine being hunted and gets away. Then we are moved into the damages of last issue. Simple story that I will follow till the end to see if there is a pay off.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK #609
4 OUT OF 5
The identity of the Red She-Hulk is revealed and this was unexpected. Banner breaks out of his alternative reality prison in time to witness the carnage. Key Issue in the ongoing World War Hulk saga.
HULK #22
5 OUT OF 5
READ INCREDIBLE HULK #609 BEFORE READING HULK #22. The identity of the Red Hulk is revealed. Nuff' said.
PUNISHERMAX #7
4 OUT OF 5
Great insight into the character Bullseye. Really realistic take on the character. Bullseye gets into Frank Castle's head anyway he can and raising the body count as well.
DARK AVENGERS #16
4 OUT OF 5
Wrapping up Norman Osborn's Dark Reign - the Dark Avengers are all captured except one. Victoria Hand meets the new American Top Cop. The stage is set for the Heroic Age to begin.
AVENGERS: INITIATIVE #35
4 OUT OF 5
Issue must be read after Seige #4 and the New Avengers Finale #1. Tigra has her face to face with the Hood from the fallout of New Avengers #35 back in 2007. Close out issue that is worth taking a look at as it began after the Civil War event and leads into Avengers Academy #1 in June.
THE NEW AVENGERS FINALE
4 OUT OF 5
The wrap up of the Dark Reign as the villains are tracked and brought to justice. Great artwork and dialogue from Brian Bendis.
